Marianne R. Williams is currently the Humanities Librarian at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Prior to this, she was the Undergraduate Engagement Librarian and Librarian-in-Residence at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She is an alum of the Banff Centre, the University of Toronto, and Carleton University.
Her practice focuses on civic empowerment, primary source research, and information activism. Her work has been exhibited at the University of Arkansas, Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Toronto Public Library, and Robarts Library at the University of Toronto.
Williams also produced collaborative work with Frederic Bigras-Burrogano, under the collective name Long Distance Call.
